lebron  took his talents down to GQ and lands himself on their September issue. In the excerpts below he responds to Cav’s owner Dan Gilbert and Charles Barkley. He ain’t never lie. More pics from his spread after the jump. LeBron On Cavs Owner Dan Gilbert: “I don’t think he ever cared about LeBron. My mother always told me: ‘You will see the light of people when they hit adversity. You’ll get a good sense of their character.’ Me and my family have seen the character of that man.” He went on to say that Gilbert’s post-Decision screed “made me feel more comfortable that I made the right decision.” LeBron on Charles Barkley Criticizing His Decision: “Charles was probably trying to be funny. It wasn’t funny to me.”

The NY Daily News reports: In another era, another situation, the sight of Eli Manning on his knees with blood dripping from his head might have made for a legendary photo. In the second quarter of a meaningless preseason game, though, it only made the Giants hold their collective breath.Manning is “fine,” but the Giants’ starting quarterback sure had everyone worried after taking a series of brutal hits on a completely botched play early in the second quarter of the Giants’ 31-16 win in the preseason opener Monday night. In the first game at the new stadium in the Meadowlands, Manning ran into his own running back, then became a bloody sandwich between two Jets defenders that left him looking like the famous picture of Y.A. Tittle with blood dripping down his face. The damage seemed remarkably minimal - 12 stitches on a three-inch cut, according to the Giants, and some possible swelling that seemed to worry Tom Coughlin. But no concussion and no reason to worry, according to Manning, who insisted, “It’s really not an injury” at all.

Eminem returned to number 1 on the Billboard 200 again after selling another 133,000 copies in its 8th week on the charts. That takes his total to an astonishing 2,113,000. Congrats to Em for hitting double platinum in just about 2 months. In this day and age, that’s highly commendable.
